Make sure your wall outlet box and the plug assembly are both tight within the wall. Tighten the screws that hold the plug assembly within the electrical box. If the electrical box moves, make sure to secure it so there is no movement.
Note: never over-tighten the product to the wall outlet. This may cause damage to both the product and the electrical outlet.
a. A poor electrical connection within the outlet box can cause intermittent power to the product. Make sure you have the box and wiring
checked by an electrician.
b. A poor ground or any improper electrical connection can also cause that along the entire electrical line including the electrical outlet box assembly.
The extension cord is a round cord and can twist while it is pulled out or (extended). This is not a functional problem and can be fixed by simply turning the the plug to orient it facing forward and or pulling out the plug and facing it forward (plug receptacles facing front).
Always hold the cord or the plug while retracting the cord and you can push the button and let go intermittently so that the cord locks/stops at various lengths.
The metal contacts within the product case are tight in the beginning and will improve with extended use as you plug into them & the contacts are expanded.
Yes but the center support screw will not be able to be used to secure the product and the front inserts will not be able to be used. Not recommended.
No it is to be used indoors only, away from water
Use a latex wall paint on a roller.
Note: Paint only the white side. Do not use a wet application. Paint to be a high quality mixed properly and used with a dry roller, ideally with one application. Paint can also be sprayed on with very light
coats applied. Never saturate the board with paint! Light applications are the best.
Insert the top (locking) tabs first by focusing & doing it slowly. If the tabs get bent they will still work. Sliding the top ones in at an angle first then the bottom tabs will help. The purpose of the top tabs are to keep the insert in the slots without sliding down. The insert is designed that with one or more bent or broken the insert will still stay in position. Repeated installations and removals are not recommended for the inserts. Top lock tabs are designed for single use.
First correct the overload and then simply push the breaker button to reset it.
Red represent power on. and blue shows the surge suppression is active.
Pull out the cord for approx 4 feet then retract it by holding the plug on the end and fully pushing down on the retractor button. The cause could be the the cord overlapping itself on the cord reel. Always retract the cord fully by using the top retractor button and not pushing the cord in manually into the housing assembly. Also avoid holding the cord to one side when retracting the the cord and plug. Holding the plug and cord aligned with the receptacle cavity will avoid the cord winding up on the cord reel improperly.
Yes but it is best to pull the cord out to the right and parallel with the wall first. After extending the cord to the desired length, and cord in the locked mode, you can extend the cord in the desired direction. Caution: Avoid pulling out the cord perpendicular (90 degree angle) to the wall. This can cause the product to come loose and pull out from the wall! Also this will cause a tripping hazard.
Yes. However when used in this manner it is best not to extend the cord to its maximum length. A few inches of cord in the product case is recommended.
Yes with surge and thermal circuit breaker protection. The cord is protected with a circuit breaker for all electrical overloads.
Yes with a standard 110 Volt outlet indoors away from water or flammable environment. Caution: Never use near flammable vapors or areas with extreme heat or cold. Recommended temp use between 32F – 150F (0- to 65.56 Cel.)
